How Digispot AI identifies itself when crawling your site

DigispotAuditBot is the crawler Digispot AI uses when you (or someone on your team) runs an SEO audit of a website. It only crawls sites that a Digispot AI customer has explicitly submitted — it does not roam the open web for training data or indexing.

User-Agent

Every request from DigispotAuditBot includes this User-Agent header: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; DigispotAuditBot/1.0; +https://digispot.ai/bot) You can confirm crawl traffic in your server or CDN logs by searching for DigispotAuditBot.

What it does

When a customer starts an audit, DigispotAuditBot fetches publicly reachable pages (within their plan’s crawl budget) to analyze technical SEO signals — titles, meta tags, headings, links, structured data, robots.txt, sitemaps, llms.txt, SSL/security headers, and related page/site checks. Results appear only in that customer’s Digispot AI project.

What it does not do

DigispotAuditBot does not scrape sites for AI training corpora, does not sell crawl data, and does not crawl sites that have not been submitted for an audit by a Digispot AI user. It is not a search-engine indexer.

robots.txt

Obeys robots.txt: Yes. DigispotAuditBot honours Allow/Disallow rules addressed to it by name, as well as rules under a wildcard "*" block. Verification

Today you can verify Digispot AI traffic by the DigispotAuditBot User-Agent string and by correlating crawl timestamps with audits started in Digispot AI. We don't yet publish egress IP ranges or reverse DNS, so please don't block us by IP — our crawl traffic doesn't come from a stable, publishable range. Published IP ranges and reverse-DNS verification may follow in a later phase; until then, the UA string plus customer-triggered timing are the primary signals.
